Valley College Learners

We believe young people who will benefit from Valley College will:

  • Be aged 18 to 20 years on the first year of entry;
  • Have (or will have had) a full Statement of Special Educational Needs or hold a current Education Health Care Plan funded at Band E or above;
  • Have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) falling in the range of severe learning difficulties or more moderate learning difficulties with additional needs that cannot be met in a local college.

Assessment Process

 

Tutor assessment. Internally, externally and RARPA  (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement)

Tutor assessment.

Internally and externally verified accreditation.

External verified accreditation.  (Appropriate concessions will be put in place).

Target Learners-  All learners will have a current EHCP where special educational needs are described as severe (Pathway to Independent/Employability) or severe or moderate (Pathway to employability/employment), an appropriate funding band to cover course costs and a minimum age 18 years.
