Valley College Curriculum

Learners in Valley College are aged between 18 – 25 years old and are taught according to the pathways at entry level.

Our entire college curriculum is specifically designed to meet the needs of adult learners with high needs.  This specialisation allows us to design and deliver highly targeted pathways and effectively meet individual needs.  Our curriculum is designed to address our Preparation for Adulthood, Citizenship and Employment (PACE) agenda.  Three learning pathways have been developed :

(i) Pathway to Independence

(ii) Pathway to Employability

(iii) Pathway to Employment

Within each pathway our 3 strand curriculum model addresses the formal learning, developmental and additional needs of each learner.

Internally and externally accredited courses are used to award and recognise learner achievement, especially in key skill areas. Acquiring skills in preparation for leaving college is fundamental to achieving the best future for these young adults.

Valley College is an approved NOCN centre.  For more information click here
